Selected for Manchester’s 24:7 Festival in July 2011

KEEP IT SIMPLE is a comedy drama set in a cottage in the Lake District at the edge of a forest.

An agony aunt, a failed poet and an insecure chiropodist are spending a weekend together in a country cottage.

The poet and chiropodist are the agony aunt’s ex and current husband respectively, and the occasion is the wedding of their daughter, Sabena, to an apparently perfect young man called Gawain.

The setting is idyllic, the situation isn’t.
