Farnes Productions was set up by writer, Dick Curran, to support production of his play ‘Islanders’ at Manchester’s 24:7 Festival in 2010.
‘Islanders’ won the Manchester Evening News Best Fringe Production and a revised version with the same cast toured venues in Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, York, Hull and Preston.
A second play, ‘It Works For Us’, was selected for Liverpool’s Write Now Festival in April 2011. It won the Best Play and Best Actor prizes in the festival awards, and in the same year, ‘Keep It Simple’ was selected for the 2011 Manchester 24:7 Festival.
In 2013 ‘Company’ toured the North East with Arts Council support taking in established theatres such as Live in Newcastle and The Customs House, and new venues such as Ballarat Studios in North Shields.
